Potholes, curbs, and hard impacts can knock a wheel out of round. We straighten repairable bent rims up to 22 inches using heat, hydraulic pressure, and repeated measurements to bring the wheel back within acceptable runout tolerance.
If the same wheel also has curb rash or other repairable cosmetic damage, we can repair and refinish it during the same visit.

HOW BENT RIM REPAIR WORKS
The straightening work is done inside our 18-foot enclosed wheel repair trailer. We bring the equipment to you, so your vehicle doesn't have to be left at a shop.

MEASURE THE WHEEL
We remove the wheel from the vehicle, mount it on our straightening machine, and use a dial indicator to find where it is bent and how far it is out of round.

HEAT AND STRAIGHTEN
We heat the affected area and use a hydraulic ram to gradually correct the bend.

MEASURE AGAIN
We measure the wheel again and repeat the heat, straighten, and measure process until it is back within acceptable runout tolerance.

We straighten repairable bent rims up to 22 inches. Back-of-rim bends are usually the most straightforward. If the bend is on the visible face of the wheel, send us a photo so we can determine whether it can be repaired.
We do not weld or repair cracked wheels. Wheels over 22 inches are referred to a trusted partner.
Bent chrome wheels require extra consideration. We can straighten repairable chrome wheels, but a bend on the face of the wheel may cause cosmetic damage during straightening. Unlike a painted alloy wheel, we cannot refinish damaged chrome, so we'll explain that risk before scheduling the repair.
HAVE A BEND AND CURB RASH?
We can straighten the bend and repair the cosmetic damage during the same visit. When both repairs are done on the same wheel, the cosmetic repair is regular price and the bent rim repair is half price.

What size bent rims can you repair?
We straighten most repairable bent rims up to 22 inches. Wheels over 22 inches are referred to a trusted partner.
How do I know if my rim is bent?
A bent rim may cause vibration while driving, uneven tire wear, loss of tire pressure, or a wheel that is visibly out of round. Sometimes the bend isn't visible at all, which is why we measure the wheel rather than relying only on how it looks.
Can you tell if my rim is bent from a photo?
Not always. Many bends aren't visible in a photo, especially when the wheel is still on the vehicle. We use a dial indicator to measure the wheel and locate where it is out of round.
Do I need to send a photo of a bent rim?
Not always. If the bend is on the face of the wheel or the wheel is already off the vehicle, send us a photo so we can see the damaged area. If the wheel is still on the vehicle and the bend isn't visible, contact us and tell us what you're experiencing.
Do you remove the tire to straighten a bent rim?
No. We remove the wheel from the vehicle, but the tire stays mounted on the wheel while we straighten it.
Will my wheel need to be rebalanced after bent rim repair?
We leave the tire mounted on the wheel during the straightening process, so we don't disturb the tire's position on the wheel. If the wheel or tire already has a separate balance issue, that would need to be addressed by a tire shop.
Can you repair a cracked rim?
No. We do not weld or repair cracked wheels. We can refer cracked wheels to a trusted partner.
Can you repair a bent chrome wheel?
Yes. We can straighten repairable chrome wheels up to 22 inches. If the bend is on the face of the wheel, straightening it may damage the chrome finish. Because we cannot refinish chrome the way we can refinish a painted alloy wheel, we'll explain that risk before scheduling the repair.
Can you repair curb rash and a bent rim at the same time?
Yes. If the same wheel is bent and has curb rash or other repairable cosmetic damage, we can take care of both during the same visit. The cosmetic repair is regular price, and the bent rim repair is half price when both are repaired together.
